Each day is special.

Dear Mark, as well as anyone(like me) who has the intention of defeating Darrel in terms of blog posting lenght,

I'm afraid that if you want to even think of beating Darrel in writing the longest post on this blog, you must first be very long-winded.  I repeat, very long-winded (like me).

There are many ways and means one can use to be as long-winded as possible. Using point form also may help, as this makes the blog seem extremely long, a one has to scroll down a lot. As with small size being mistaken to be far away by the human eye and brain, more scrolling down also can achieve the effect of long blog posts.

Double spacing also helps. Not just the neatness factor, but more spacing= more scrolling down, causing the effect as mentioned earlier. Big font may also help 'lengthen' your blog postings. Unnecessary details may be added, such as the 'ings' in postings. Although four letters may seem a meagre, insignificant amount, a lot of four letters will add up to a great amount. I would try it out for you to see, but I do not want to waste your time.

Another thing one can do is to go on and on about nothing. Perhaps one can open up a random page of 'War and Peace' by Leo Tolstoy and rewrite it out, acknowledging at the bottom as many details as possible, such as the page number, the line, the paragraph, the publishing date, etc.

Ending each paragraph's line with a single word will also give the impression that the paragraph is long. from perhaps an eight line paragraph, one can add a few words to give the impression of a nine-liner.

Complex words where explanations have to be given are also reccomended for increasoing the lenght of you blog postiong. repeating key points, I repeat repeating key poins helps in ensuring that the blog posting has a length greater than normal, normal refering to without the conscious, and importantly conscious, use of the techniques listed above.

Other techniques of blog posting lengthening include the non usage of abbreviations, such as don't, won't, etc. Instead, one should consider using the full word(in the examples earlier, the words do not, will not, and et cetera should be used to increase the blog postings' length.)

Signing off in a, ahem, long winded (Why do I always use this word? Even I do not know.) manner, such as quote from Cheng Yao,
'P.S. ...
 P.P.S. ...
 P.P.P.S. ...
P.P.P.P.S. ...' (Did he put this? I forget.)
So one can now clearly see that long sign-offs are helpful in the lengthening of one's blog postings.

In essence, the methods are:
1) Be long winded,
2) Double spacing,
3) Quotation,
4) Repetition,
5) Sign-off very-longly, I guess.(Is there another way to say this?)
