Each day is special.

Hi all,

I am not very sure about how to write and what to write since this is our class blog, so I'll briefly describe today. Sorry if anything I write is too insulting, or self praising, or rude, or useless, or whatever. I have never anyway written truth in blogs before.

Firstly, I would like to thank Darrel, Matthew and Justin for contributing to the class blog. They (or you if you are Darrel, Matthew or Justin) have given me the courage to write. The factor which encouraged me to write the most is the language and style (no insult, but I do feel that some of the posts are a little rude).

Today, Singapore faced Autumn, whom Summer agreed to share his weather ruling power with. Dead leaves of green and brown covered the green grass. A slight breeze blew on the leaves and grass. Later in the morning, the temperature rose, and the blazing sun shone upon the field. The scorching sun sizzled our sweaty skin.

We had consortium assembly this morning, of which I was late for because of Scouts. The main things that were presented were the exchange programs and the Holistic Development program. I missed a lot because I left my spectacles in class, so I could not get the joke when the teacher was compared to the Panda (LOL) because I thought the panda was two students. I was also admittedly almost asleep by the time the HDP presentation started, although I do remember that we were supposed to update it every something.

I, and most probably the rest of the class, liked the shows shown during recess, especially the Maple at Midnight one. They were so funny I showed them to my sister. Can links to more of these videos be posted?

I know I used "I" a lot for this post (there I go again) so I am not sure if I am talking about the right kind of things. Am I only supposed to talk about issues that affect the whole class?

Well, like Darrell always does (yes, I admire his language) here is the homework for today (even though it is so late at night):

1. Scarlet Ibis story grid (if you have not completed it yet)
2. Chinese composition
3. Maths numerals worksheet
4. Art (if you have not completed it yet)
5. Geography worksheet (if you have not completed it yet)
6. Create your blog for English
7. ACE, ACE, ACE and ACE (if you have not completed them yet)
8. More ACE

About ACE, I feel that teachers are treating it like a question in an exam. If you do not do it, you won't get marks like everyone else will be. I think that we should create our own ACE projects, although I would rather be given ACE worksheets to do so that I would not need to think so much :D

Homework is getting to be a bit of a problem for me, and possibly for the entire class. I'm beginning to stay up very very VERY late at night to finish the variety of English homework assigned to us, not to mention other homework and ACEs. It should be obvious that the rest of the class do so too.

I feel that there should be a question board on the SMB, so I am considering suggesting one on the PSB. I am sure that there are kind students in the school (and not to mention teachers) who would answer others' questions when they post it on the SQB (Student Question Board). It is also a problem for people who want to ask questions but do not know the right person to ask. With the SQB, students can get help from other Hwa Chongers who they do not know. The only problem is that I need support because suggestions posted on the PSB need to be endorsed. Do you agree that such a scheme should be implemented?

About the "Speak Up" thingy at the side of the blog, how do I use it?

Sorry if there is anything wrong with my post, and please don't scold me for being a scaredy cat when you meet me at school. This is only a precaution I always take. Thank you for reading my post. See you on Monday!

One of the ugliest and most rejected boys in Hwa Chong,
Mark Theng

PS Sorry for the ridiculously long post. I just cannot help it.
PPS I broke the record for the longest blog! Hurrah for me!
